- As London is zoned, you have to work out which Zones you travel in most often so as to optimise your discount.
- Determine which mode of transport you used the most frequently: Buses, Underground, Trains, Trams (if applicable). The fares for Buses and Trains differ significantly.
- Check the period of validity of the Oyster Card. This year it runs from 1st September 2007 to 14 October 2008.
2. Supermarket cards (Tesco's Clubcard, Sainsbury's Nectar card, etc)
Benefits: Collect points when for your purchases at the stores. You can exchange them for products or obtain further discounts.
Simply obtain an application form in-stores or apply online!
3. NUS cards
Benefits: Get discounts off various shops in town when you produce this card during your purchases.
