Introducing Senj

The old settlement town of Senj is founded 3,000 years ago. It was passed from the Roman hands who named the town Senia while maintaining its importance as a port for exchange of goods and culture to the Hungarian and some tribes throughout its history. To learn more about Senj's history, visit this website.

Senj also provided the base for the development of the ancient Glagolic alphabets. It houses one of the oldest Glagolic printing press in Southeastern Europe which was established in 1494.

Senj is geographically located between the two major towns in Croatia namely Rijeka and Zadar. Running along its 76km long Adriatic coastline, the Jadranska magistrala is the old road that links Rijeka to the south. For visitors who wish to take the slow and scenic route along Croatia's coastline (from North to South), this is the choice. And of course, you will avoid paying the expensive road toll on the Zagreb-Split Autocesta.

Do stop by and relax in this pretty little town by the sea. Or simply experience the famous Senjska Bura!

Plitvice - national park

This is just one of those places you have to see in Croatia.16 lakes connected together makes real phenomenon.
What is very interesting here is the fact you have to walk for hours to see everything, but you won't feel tired cos it feels like being on another planet.Clean air and waterfalls, plenty of untouched nature, small wooden road guiding you around.
There is also small train and ship to help you see even more. Our advice is to carry food and drink from supermarkets because some shops there like to overprice tourists. Also its good to be there in morning,so you can enjoy all day without any pressure.Last train to pick you up from the meeting place is in 18h.
If you are coming there by car don't worry about parking. You can find some people selling honey closely to the roads for about 5 pounds for one bottle, and it's really worth of trying.
This link will show all useful information about this place.
